Biography
Guillermo Marigliano, musician, guitarist, composer and arranger, has been leading his artistic project "Marigliano Quartet" for 15 years with six albums recorded and edited. The last studio work is “Alfa & Omega” (2020) a new álbum with 7 original jazz fusión compositions. As an Argentine musician, he has also recorded Tango records, and he performs live with a solo guitar tango show called New Tango Guitar, a fusion between jazz and tango. As a sessionist, he participated in recordings for other artists of different record labels. Concerts and tours, beig part of International Jazz Festivals and other music in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Brazil, Uruguay and Belgium. With studies in Argentina and Brazil, teaching is a very important part of my work, from 2008 to 2017 in the ITMC (Technological Institute of Contemporary Music) in the chairs of Improvisation, Chord Melody and Harmony. He also conducts clinics and guitar workshops during concert tours, which are also part of festival activities. Artist and endorser of Parquer instruments brand since 2011. Director of the Musical Comedy "Yo No Soy Amy" a musical with two seasons at the Teatro Maipo, one of the most important theaters in the city of Buenos Aires and the genre with almost 100 years old. The Musical was nominated in 2016 for two "HUGO" awards. For cinema he composed the music of the short docuemtal "12000 Nights de Jazz", awarded in the festival of Havana (Cuba) and Triste (Italy), and the music of the film "The Jazz Is Like the Bananas" to be premiered in cinemas in 2018 Columnist of the only graphic edition in Argentina and distributed in Latin America of the magazine "Todo Guitarra y Bajo" since 2016. He wrote three educational books for guitarists edited by the publisher Ellisound that distributes in Argentina and Latin America.
